Her five-medal performance at the 2019 World Para Swimming Championships led to her nomination by the Canadian Paralympic Committee to represent the country at Tokyo 2020. Aurelie became a 5-time Paralympic champion with her victory at the Tokyo 2020 Paralympics. She also beat her own world record set in 2018 by over five seconds.
