Before becoming an actor, Fernandez was a professional soccer (football) player in Mexico. A knee injury sidelined him and led to him attending film classes and discovering a new passion. Fernandez can be seen playing Dani Rojas on the show Ted Lasso.

Avant de devenir acteur, Fernandez était un joueur de football professionnel au Mexique. Une blessure au genou l'a mis sur la touche et l'a amené à suivre des cours de cinéma et à se découvrir une nouvelle passion. On peut voir Fernandez dans le rôle de Dani Rojas dans la série Ted Lasso.
